Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Zhultek ("we", "us") and govern your use of the SimpleFuel mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use SimpleFuel.
  • You need an account to use the Service. Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Tell us promptly at support@simplefuel.app if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

The service

SimpleFuel lets you record vehicles and fuel fill-ups, view statistics about your spending and efficiency, and set reminders for vehicle renewals and servicing. SimpleFuel is a paid subscription service: after a free trial, an active subscription is required to use the app. There is one plan, and it includes every feature — unlimited vehicles, unlimited fuel logs, statistics and charts, reminders, CSV export and sync.

We may add, change or remove features over time; we will not remove core functionality from an active subscription period without notice.

Subscription & free trial

  • Free trial. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial with full access. If you cancel before the trial ends you will not be charged. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts automatically to a paid yearly subscription and your store account is charged. One free trial per store account; Apple and Google decide trial eligibility.
  • Billing. SimpleFuel is an auto-renewing yearly subscription (currently $9.99 per year, or the local equivalent shown in the store). It is purchased through, and billed by, Apple's App Store or Google Play under their terms. We do not process payments ourselves.
  • Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for another year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged at renewal.
  • Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — not from within the app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the trial or period you have paid for. Once your subscription ends you can still sign in to export or delete your data, but the app's features are locked until you resubscribe.
  • Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the stores.
  • Price changes. We may change the subscription price. Where required, you will be notified in advance through the store and given the chance to cancel before a new price takes effect.
  • Restoring. If you reinstall the app or change device, use "Restore purchases" in the app to reactivate your subscription on the same store account.

Your content

Vehicle details, fuel logs and notes you enter ("Your Content") remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content solely to operate, secure and improve the Service for you. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your own copies if you need them (you can export a CSV at any time).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful or to infringe anyone else's rights;
  • attempt to access other users' accounts or data;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service or its API;
  • circumvent the free trial, purchase verification or other technical protections;
  • resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

Reminders & estimates

Reminders are a convenience, not an official notice. Registration, fitness, insurance and service reminders are generated from dates and odometer readings you enter and delivered as local notifications on your device. Notifications can be delayed or suppressed by your phone's settings, battery optimisation or the app being uninstalled. You remain solely responsible for meeting legal deadlines, keeping your vehicle roadworthy and complying with local regulations.

Statistics such as fuel efficiency, cost per distance and estimated range are estimates calculated from the fill-ups you record. Their accuracy depends on the completeness and accuracy of your entries. Do not rely on them for safety-critical decisions.

Availability & changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, or the Service as a whole, at any time. If we discontinue the Service entirely we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing support@simplefuel.app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, are used for abuse, or remain inactive for an extended period, and will try to notify you first where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will do so.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure or that data will never be lost — please keep your own backups.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zhultek will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including missed renewals, fines, penalties or vehicle damage. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or, if you have paid nothing, to the local equivalent of US$20. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

General

  • Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Zhultek is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the courts of that place, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring claims elsewhere.
  • App store terms. Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the store you downloaded it from. Apple and Google are not party to these Terms and have no obligation to provide support for the Service.
  • Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
